Transcapital advises CA Animation Group (Loste Tradi-France, Larnaudie…) on the acquisition of the Italian prosciutto manufacturer Dok Dall’Ava.
Founded in the 80’s, Dok Dall’Ava is an Italian company specialized in the production of high-end prosciutti (hams), mainly under the San Daniele PDO. Its products are sold to luxury hotels and restaurants and premium retailers in over 20 countries. The company also developed an offer of Italian bakery products such as panettone, gubane or gressini, which it produces itself under the Maria Vittoria brand, and of other Italian delicatessen products.
CA Animation Group (Loste Tradi France, Jean Larnaudie, Sapresti Traiteur,…) has acquired a majority stake in the company with the aim to broaden its product range with high-end Italian specialties and thus support its international development.
Carlo Dall’Ava, founder and CEO, will keep the operational direction of the company together with a minority stake in the capital. He will also stay the owner and manager of the eponymous restaurants, which are not included in the transaction perimeter.
