Transcapital advises Delpeyrat on the acquisition of Norway Seafoods’ sea products transformation activity in France.
Delpeyrat, subsidiary of the cooperative group Maïsadour, has acquired two plants previously owned by Norway Seafoods in France, in Castets (Landes) and Boulogne-sur-Mer (Nord-Pas-de-Calais).
The takeover of these activities leads to the creation of a new company specialized in the transformation of about 15,000 tons of sea products per year. The two sites transform every year about 8,000 tons of salmon, more than 3,000 tons of trout from Aquitaine and approximately 4,000 tons of white fishes. The company employs 230 people for about €75m of annual sales.
This operation allows Delpeyrat to appear today as one of the leading players in the market of sea products and marks a significant step in the development of its diversification strategy for its ‘Traiteur de la Mer‘ activities, beyond the valorisation of the Aquitaine trout.
